I am in the process of installing an ip system consisting of a Synology NAS, TP-Link poe and Hikvision cameras to make my house more secure while I am away but realised that this would entail leaving electronic devices switched on permanently.
I read reports of power supplies of the type employed by these devices causing fires.
My question is by making my property more secure have I introduced a fire risk.
