Has anyone had experience with using compression BNC connectors on RG59 direct burial cable?
I'm having great difficulty inserting the cable deep enough into the connector. I suspect it has to do with the outer jacket of the direct burial cable which is much stiffer than standard coax.
Some possible solutions I'm considering:
#1 Hitting the end of the cable with a heat gun to soften it up prior to inserting the connector.
#2 Using some kind of lubricant to ease the insertion.
