Meyertech have released Nano, an OMVIF compliant piece of software which you can download onto your windows PC for very simple recording and management of IP cameras.
There is a free version of the software available, which you can get a basic understanding of the software from. In the free version you can live view up to four cameras, however there is no recording function.
