Any advice on my situation?

Just recently installed 4 x 8mp cameras from hikvision. Used cat6 cable as i got it free to save on money, now when ive installed the cable and tested it, it all passes fine but only 1 camera is working. When i tried the other cameras in my cat6, no joy what so ever, the cameras would not work only the 1. Now when i tried them on a pre made ethernet cable they worked? How can this be? Im seriously lost, everything says the cable is faulty or the terminations but yet they are passing with my...

Any advice on my situation?

NVR & SADP do not support 4K displays effectively

Hi Please could this be logged as a bug with Hikvision?

The issue is that when used with a PC running on a 4K resolution monitor windows by default will scale the fonts up to make them readable. Several parts of the Hikvision range do not correctly support this.

For example:-

Web display of an I series NVR - the playable timeline is in a font that is too small, and does not adhere to scaling correctly
SADP the font is not scaled acrorrectly throughout the application.

I have connected 3 ip cameras in the house with router , mobile and cams close to each other as per instructions,all connected fine and worked, when I unplugged them and moved outside none work, no internet , I have a wavlink poe outdoor antenna / repeater in between the cams and router, the repeater has the same wifi key as the router any help would be great thank.

Hi Guys,

Hope somebody can help me please. My neighbour two doors away has been burgled two days ago and my camera has just about caught by the camera angle but download side is its not clear in night since its black and white and the car number plate is white with no letters display. Why would this be I thought night version would be clear to.

Acusense camera won't power on on it's own after power outage

The camera is an Acusense DS-2CD2T46G1-2I and it will not power on after power was back. First time it did this, I went on location and saw that is connection with POE switch had no LED's on. So suspected that camera was dead. So, removed camera and powered it with 12v, and it was back on. Checked with another cable to see if POE is ok, so it was. Mounted it back in it's place, all was fine. Even changed it's POE port on the switch. So I left the location and then power...

Hikvision wireless doorbell monitor/screen

Hi,

Can anyone recommend the cheapest way of getting a neat setup for a screen for viewing the doorbell camera in our kitchen. This would be semi permanently on (all day off at night).

Would using a tablet and hik connect app be best? Or maybe an android box and screen?

Any recommendations welcomed.

Hi,

I've got a DS-2CD2142FWD-I on my home network, it's the only camera I have.
  • Not using a DVR, camera isn't set to record
  • Gigabit network, using PoE
  • Using Hik-Connect for DDNS and the Hik-Connect app on the iPhone
The main stream seems to randomly switch from 2688*1520 down to 1280*720P and a decent framerate and bitrate down to 10fps, and 512Kpbs.

If I change it to what I want it seems to "save" OK and live view looks great. Then a day or two later I notice that...

NVR in the loft / Attic

It would make things a lot easier if I could place my NVR on a shelf in the loft.

Obviously it can get pretty cold and hot up there and I'm just wondering if UK weather could affect the NVR's lifespan.

What is everyones experience with this?

Hikvision DS-2CD2346G1-I emails with no content

I have one of the above cameras which generally works very well. However, most days I get one or more emails generated by the camera with no attached files and the message:

"This message cannot be displayed because of the way it is formatted. Ask the sender to send it again using a different format or email program.

multipart/mixed"

There is no video recorded at the time the message is sent.

Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix/ setting I'm missing. This new camera...

I'm making this plea again, because every day we continue to get calls and enquiries about "odd" issues, features "not working", cameras "gone faulty", cameras that have "gone offline", no longer being able to see video in my App, on my Mac, in IVMS-4200, in my browser, etc.
95% of those callers own HikVision systems.
50% of those callers are what you might term disbelieving when told they need to update their firmware.
Especially if it's a young female member of my team that gives...

Hello all.

I just got a camera from my previous job. It's an old DS-2CD2532F-IS model.
I wish I would use it like a peephole, but faced with some problems.

I can't enter it.
- I used several browsers,
- tried to add :80 after IP address,
- changed IP address from SADP
- tried to update firmware via TFTP server according to instructions, « TFTP server[192.0.0.128] initialized» but updating process doesn't start.
SADP and iVMS found it, but in iVMS my camera is shown as "Offline'

Hello,

So I have 10+ cameras which are used to operate the equipment. up until now, there have only been 2 operators sat next to each other so a DVR with 2 HDMI outputs to 2 screens was fine.
I'm now updating the entire system using PoE and an NVR and have been asked to allow multiple monitors over various distances to each to be able to flick through the cameras individually. anyone with any experience that can help? there can't be any lag on 6 screens as the will be for operators

Hello.
I have a really intersting question. There is a DS-7204HTHI-K1 dvr and for the 5. channel I use an IP camera DS-2CD1323G0-I.
I use a LTE / 4G Tp-Link TL-MR6400 router, because there is no wired internet.
The problem is, the IP camera come off from the network or just a connection problem. But it is still on the network.
On the monitor the 5. channel said "NO LINK" for the IP camera.
But in the DVR menu where I can add the IP camera, I see it, but I need to remove and re-add again for...

Hi,
Recently had to update to Catalina on my Mac, now I am unable to view any cameras connected to NVR DS-7608NI-K2 / 8P.
I just get the message "no plugin detected"
IS there any fix/update for this?
Tried Chrome too and same message. Possibly something to do with Catalina only having support for 64 bit code, or some other security
change they have made?
