Hi new to this and wondering if you can give me any advice on camera choice. I have an area 17m x 23m to cover with three camera's its dark so i am going to provide some led lighting. I need to use 2.8mm lenses to cover the area. I cannot decide between hikvision acusense DS-2CD2386G2-I 8mp camera's or hikvision colorvu DS-2CD2347G1-LU 4mp camera's. I have read that 8mp would be better if i had to zoom in on an image but the bigger sensor on the colorvu camera's is better for low light...

I have a NVR DS-7608NI-I2 which had Ver. 3.4.93 build 170325. I attempted to update to NVR_K51_BL_ML_STD_V4.40.015_200616.
Now after the NVR reboot, the login screen on the monitor attached to the NVR will not allow me to input a User ID. It displays a dropdown set of symbols only (square boxes). When attempting to access on my PC using iVMS 4200, it shows the NVR and when I select it to ADD, it then shows it as "offline".
If I attempt to access via SADP Tool and select "DHCP" it says...

I have an HNRA10-64, firmware v4.21.005 build 191030 with 28 DS-2CD2085FWD-I cameras
We are having an issue with video on the android and apple app as well as in a web browser. Every day, we lose video to those remote viewers. We do not lose video locally on the monitor or television (connected to HDMI 1 and 2). We can be onsite and no video on the apps or in a browser (older version of IE).

Hello all,
I have a very wierd situation.
NVR: DS-7604NI-K1(B), latest firmware v4.30
Connected to a TP Link router via Ethernet cable. ISP gives a dynamic IP address. Hik-Connect activated, however, the app is disabled.
The problem happens every time after somebody tries to make a remote login using the admin username. Immedately after that the following starts happening:
- the continuous recording stops

- Acusense DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL(2.8mm) x2

Hello I’ve 6 of these 2 that see more direct sunlight than others have developed a white haze, one at the back and one at the front of the house where the sun rises and sets, all software updated several times since I’ve noticed it, lens are clear, every setting has been checked and is the same as the others which are working perfectly. Has anyone any ideas? When the sun comes out and not even directly on the units they look like the white balance is out, but it’s on auto.

I've been setting up my Hik NVR recently and using my Ipad and Android mobile for remote viewing. I had tried the Hik Connect app and the iVMS 4500 for viewing. iVMS seem to work ok on both platforms, but I couldn't get HIK connect to work properly on either. However, I discovered that on the Ipad, if I used my HIK connect username (not phone number or email as the prompt suggests) it works. But it still wont work on the Android phone. I've bought DS-2CD2041G1-IDW1 with latest firmware on-board (factory): V5.5.88 build 200610
Is this G0 camera model or G1 as in name DS-2CD2041G1-IDW1?
Becausd the last avaialble firmware to download from this camera related site

I have HIK Vision NVR for 8 channels
The problem was that the fan inside used to make a noise so I remove the cover of the NVR and the noise was gone.
Any suggestion of how to get rid of the eco noise without actually removing the cover.

Hi all. Ive been running my hikvision setup for over a year without any issues using an iPhone. Now I've recently changed over to Android (S20 plus) and I'm having issues with intrusion detection push notifications. Sometimes they come through, Sometimes the take 5 to 10 mins and Sometimes they don't come through at all until I unlock my phone. Since updating to 4.7.1 my video keeps freezing after a a couple of minutes with the error code 47. I have iPad Air and iPad Air2 with latest iOS software (12.4,8 for air). Have tried reducing resolution but makes little difference. I need to press pause then play to restart video or restart app. What does the error code 47 mean please?

Hi,
I have a DS-7616NI-K2 NVR with the cameras set for continuous recording. When I try and playback from a camera on my PC web browser I get the message 'No file found' however I can play back any of my cameras recordings on my iPhone using the Hik connect App.
NVR firmware is 4.40.015

I have a DS-2DE3304W-DE and a DS-2DE4A404IW-DE with latest firmware.
based on release note 5.6.0, websockets should be present in the network configuration directly from the camera (from web browser)
I do not see these. Reference; pdf release note 5.6.0 point 3.2.4, screenshot. First 2 options
is there a way to get these? Do i have to do a restore / reset of the camera?

Hi,
I have 3 "HWT B120 M" cameras and a "HWD-5104M" DVR
I can only set line-crossing on one camera, when i try to set on the others two its says it is not suported by the camera.
What could be the problem?

Sometimes Hikvision devices fail to save settings, clips, files etc unless you are running your Internet Explorer browser session with administrator rights.
You need these rights to create new files.
It's simple to do:
