I have been thinking about purchasing a Hikvision NVR for quite sometime now and having looked at the various series and models on the Hikvision website I am particularly interested in the DeepinMind Series because I would like to reduce the number of false alarms by utilising the latest smart human and/or vehicle analytics.

I currently have a Hikvision DS-2DF7286-AEL, Hikvision DS-2DF8236IX-AELW and a Dahua DH-SD59225U-HNI which I would like to connect to a NVR and in the near future add...

Hi All,
I hope I am not creating a duplicate thread, I did a search "HikConnect" but did not see a hit relating to an outline of how it functions.

How does the HikConnect vary from the previous remote connection where a static IP or DDNS service was used?

Hikvision End of Life Products

If you're reading this it means you've probably been redirected from an End of Life product.

It's common practice for Hikvision to replace old products with models from a new series. These products are known as "End of Life" and are no longer available to buy on the market.

The below list is designed to direct you to the current replacement for Hikvision End of Life models.

PLEASE NOTE: Some End of Life models...

DS-7616HI-ST Firmware

Hi All,
I have one of these beasties to allow me to amalgamate analogue and ONVIF in the same box and it is generally OK, but I was wondering in there is a later/different firmware that will run on the box that will support Channel Zero encoding (useful for the all-in-one screen), support standard ONVIF motion detection (like the older Hikvision ONVIF only box I replaced this with)
Can anyone offer any insight, please?
It is currently running firmware version V3.0.18 build 160316

Thanks in...

Hi I have two of the above CCTV cameras about 2 years old and they have both lost their IR view at night. During the day they both show colour views of the surrounding areas but the scenes seem to have a foggy mist effect. I have cleaned both cameras lens and update to the latest firmware for G1 cameras from UK Portal. I would appreciate any helpful comments.

NVR Remote Bandwidth Control

Hello,

I have a DS-7732NI-I4 / 24P

The NVR is on a cellular data plan (for remote viewing). I was hoping I would be able to limit the users' to only view sub channels with lower bitrates. This in turn would make the cellular data plan (10 GB per month, but would be willing to spend up to 20 GB) last much, much longer.

If the user goes into single screen mode then they get the main channel stream (currently set to 1080p). The bandwidth usage is about 4 Mbit/s. That's recording...

Qvis Falcon NVR - Camera IP Range

I have recently installed a Qvis Falcon 8 channel POE NVR with POE cameras. I installed and connected the cameras and the NVR setup wizard found them as soon as it started. One of the first tasks is to set the NVR IP address.
Unlike most people I don't use the normal 192.168.1.X private LAN address scope but the 10.0.X.X range. The NVR happily connected to the Lan using DHCP and set an IP address in the local 10.x.x.x scope, but as soon as I tried to change that to a fixed IP address the...

So I have my NVR set to continuous record which creates the solid blue line in playback.

On my NVR box i can see the blue bar with event markers under it. I have tried to get the markers to show on the web access playback view (via IE browser) - but there is nothing.

I put the camera to full window and click the button to show motion/events . Nothing.

It’s my fault..... forgot to check if camera i ordered was poe. It arrived today and i dont think it is. It does have a RJ45 socket but I am not sure if it is a POE camera, cant see anything on box or in manual mentioning POE and for obvious reasons I donot want to attemp to run it without confirmation. The camera is a Hikvision DS-2CD2563GO-IS/B 6MP MINI DOME 2.8MM [DS-2CD2563G0-IS-2.8-B]. I want to run it on my DS 7608NI-12-8P network recorder. If anyone can advise if it is or more likely...
