Hi everyone,

In the last month, I took the plunge and bought a HikVision NVR (DS-7604NI-K1/4P) for home with four G1 Series IP camera's (2x 2355, a 2155 and a 2363). Cabled it all myself and I'm really happy with the results, worth every penny.

Thanks to this forum (megathread mainly), I have managed to get the VCA settings working (line crossing and intrusion detection) working with email alerts and also the IP camera firmware updated to the latest version.

Hi

New to this forum as HikVision UK support refuse to help me as I'm not a trade customer. I'm hoping someone here can help.

We have an NVR model: ds-7732ni-14/16p and a people counting camera model iDS-2CD6810F/C. I have checked and both are running latest firmware.

The camera plugs straight into the NVR and auto-sets up. I can log into the NVR through the website and watch the camera fine. In order to calibrate the line and settings for counting though I am aware I need to use the web...

Problems Running iVMS-4200 on MacOS Catalina(10.15)

We have had several customers and forum users reporting problems running iVMS-4200 since updating to MacOS Catalina (10.15), the reports have varied from some saying the software runs ok but does crash unexpectedly to others saying the iVMS software does not work at all.

If you have G1 cameras (2xx3G0/2xx5FWD/2xx5G1) and/or an I-series NVR you can get around the iVMS issues by updating to the latest firmware and logging in to the NVR/cameras with any browser using the 'plug-in free'...

Hikvision DS-7604NI-E1 Camera Access

Hi, I currently have a couple of Cameras connected to DS-7604NI-E1 and the cameras were using night vision at night, recently they have turned to colour only and I cant seem to find a setting anywhere which can set DAY/Night mode..?
Any Ideas?
I also tried setting Virtual host but it looks like this isnt supported on this NVR?
Any help will be appreciated.

Hik Smart Tracking

Hi,
I have an analogue DS-2AF7264-A and it would happily sit and follow blowing branches, leaves etc.

However a week ago I as having a play with it and changed some settings and now it has ceased to follow movement. (obviously smart tracking is still on)

So my question is, before I do a factory reset and set it up again, can anyone think off the top of their head, which setting is likely to interfere with tracking?

IVMS 4200 permanently minimized

Hello.
Following a routine Windows 10 update, my IVMS 4200 CCTV images are all permanently minimized. That is, there is a single icon on the bottom bar on the screen. The maximize and restore options are all greyed. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hikvision 2121G0 camera not recording to microSD memory card

Hi, I have a Hikvision Network camera that is able to save recordings into the SD card but I am unable to view the recordings in the playback tab when using a web browser. I have to manually take out the SD card from the CCTV and read it on my laptop to confirm that the recordings are being saved. I am unable to locate any of the recorded videos. Is there any way to solve this issue? Note, I do not use a NVR.

Smart Track AND Patrol

Just curious if it’s possible to enable smart tracking and patrols at the same time? I have both enabled, and the smart tracking doesn’t seem to work anymore after enabling patrols. Maybe just something I’m missing so I figured you guys would know best. TIA

What are the standard number of images emailed with alerts. My line detection and intrusion have different numbers of image attached to email alert (1or 3). Some cameras seem to have different number of images attached to similar events.

I did read a post here before about it but can’t find it with the search function! Think there was a change when firmware changed

I have had my Samsung cameras for 3 years and use the wiseview/ wisenet app. I have always been able to view it in playback mode on my cell phone. But just recently it gives me an error message of encounters an exception, and then logs me out of the app. I cannot find ant resolution. Please help. I really need to be able to playback my cameras from my cell.
I have uninstalled the wise 3 times, and it still,doesnt work.
I reset the DVR box at the business and that didnt work.
Is there a virus...

DS-7608NI-K2/8P - adding IP camera using POE switch - need firmware update and how?

I connect 5 IP camera (each IP cam with manual defined ip adress, user, password etc) to a hickvision POE switch on a building
Now the NVR DS-7608NI-K2/8P is set on a different building where the internet router is.
My wish is to add those 5 IP cameras to the NVR:
1. when i setup and connect the switch to LAN router where NVR is also connected (changing IP to be in same class etc) - i can acces each camera, the NVR see all 5 cameras on the add list but can't add, it say "IP limit reached"...

I am having trouble getting notifications from my new ColorVu camera, I already get emails from my older turret for line crossing and from the doorbell when it is activated.
My system is all Hikvision, the NVR is a DS-7604NI-K1/4P(B) with two cameras connected by WiFi, the DS-KB6403-WIP doorbell and DS-2CD2435FWD-IW Cube for keeping an eye on the dog. The two turrets in the back garden are hard wired back to the NVR, the older DS-2CD2385FWD-I mounted on the fence faces the gate and is set to...

HikVision NVR Crashing

I have a new HikVision 6 Cam system that works well for about 8 hours, then the NVR crashes loosing all video streams.
A hard reboot (unplug/replug) usually brings everything back on line. The Kit is Model EK1-Q82T46 and the NVR is ERI-Q108-P8, purchased in September in USA. The NVR Firmware is V3.4.96Build180324 and when I try an on-screen update, it tells me that there is no Firmware update available.
The system looses video to a direct attached TV, to the iVMS-4200 software and...

My Hikvision cameras keep reverting to a low bitrate

One of my cameras keeps reverting to 32 Kbps bitrate, which obviously results in a blocky image.

I know that there are 3 ways to configure cameras; on the NVR (and it's webpage), on the camera's webpage and on IVMS. The cameras were initially set up through the NVR, and then the settings have been tweaked through IVMS. For some reason though, even though none of the above have the bitrate set to 32 Kbps, it keeps reverting back.

Is there a way to see why the change is happening? I can't...

I've got a DeepinView camera, and wanted to know if this - How to set up Hikvision ANPR, is the most up to date setup instructions or if there is anything else?

I notice it says setup through NVR, are there any for setting up through a 4G router only?

Hi,

I’m exploring using an indoor camera-pointing through my bifold doors for a view of potential intruders into the garden. I can imagine that in the daytime-this shouldn’t be too much of an issue (?) But how would this work at night -can anyone recommend a suitable camera? My main concern is glare, I.e effectiveness any nightvision functionality through glass and how well it ‘sees’ outside relative to inside...

I am looking for a new outdoor CCTV camera, just a single one.. I know practically nothing about this subject so i would really appreciate your advice..
