Hi,

I have managed to set up the email notifications on the NVR, even though I have selected attach pictures, no pictures are being sent.

I read somewhere, that it's worth setting up the email notification on the actual IP camera itself. However, when I select "Test" I get the following message "The network Gateway is not configured. And this may cause the failure of email sending"

I'm not sure what else I can do. I have selected the less secure apps on Google.

I have what i think are two different versions of the iVMS4200 and the professional version on my laptop and i have mostly been using them for live view and some configuration but on trying to use playback from the NVR it becomes very slow and buggy and usually ends up hanging or just doesn't playback,
Now is this just down to my laptop not being up to it although the desktop does the same but then its a bit old anyway, The laptop is an older HP Elitebook with i5 processor and 8gig of RAM...

Is it my PC or the software?

I've today added 2 additional cameras to my NVR and whilst they appear to be working (motion detection and recording) I am only able to view 1 camera at a time in live live, i am also only able to record 1 camera at a time in live view.

I have the screen setup to display 4, but i can only for some reason, seem to get 1 to display the live feed at a time. The rest are grey. Stopping the live feed of the working camera then allows me to start the feed of another.

Any ideas?

Hi Guys,
I have a Hikvision DS-2CD2165G0-1 IP camera. I am having trouble with formatting the SD card. After much trouble i was able to format it but after about an hour the card status will revert back to unitialized and then i have to go through the painfull process of trying to format it again. 90% of the time the formatting process will fail.
I have have tried multiple SD cards (They are not fake)
Tried formatting on the PC first but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas. Thanks in advance...

have the problem that the whole settings menu is greyed out. I can't enter anything including the admin password.
I am running it under windows 10.
I tried running it as administrator but nothing changes.
One suggestion was that winpcap needed to be installed. This is no longer being developed but npcap was to be used..
I installed it in winpcap mode. This then allowed me to to change the gateway address as we had changed to a new isp.
When I tried it again it had reverted to the old gateway...

I've got a series of issues with my Hikvision cams and HiWatch NVR so thought a firmware update would be a good place to start, but I'm drawing a blank.

Does anybody know where I can get the latest firmware for a NVR-208M-A / 8P NVR please?

Hello all,

I was wondering if anybody knows how to increase vertical tilt (upwards) of the Hikvision DS-2DE4220IW-DE PTZ camera?

Mine currently says (T00) when tilted up to it's maximum height yet, I have seen videos on Youtube with the same PTZ reading in minus numbers eg: (T-31) and are clearly pointing upwards towards the horizon.

As i want to keep an eye on a raise up area this would be ideal.

Does anyone have any tips on how to achieve this?

Hi

I have 7 x DS-2CD2655FWD-IZS cameras and they are all running firmware v5.5.51 and they won't upgrade to a later firmware.

The error message displayed from the camera web interface is: failed to get the upgrading progress

Please could anyone suggest how we can apply later firmware ?

We have tried a full reset from the web interface and actually using the camera reset button but nothing helps

Hi all,

Just starting my venture into IP CCTV at home and am unsure if im expecting too much or if i've missed a setting?

Camera is a HIK Colorvu DS-2CD2347G1-LU 2.8mm
Connected to a Synology DS418 NAS with 8TB seagate skyhawk HHD's
Camera is just poking out of a window at the moment and im getting the images i've attached. Unable to read a registration plate at 20-30 meters.

I have tried numerous settings but the ones in the photos are also attached. Full resolution, highest quality...

Am i expecting too much

Hi there. I bought several DS-2CD2T46G1-4I HIKVISION cameras. Firmware ver. 5.5.71_181206. Network attached to Hikvision NVR DS-7616NI-2I/16P.
Surprisingly when setting EVENT BASIC->MOVEMENT DETECTION I got the message "Operation failed , function not implemented". Moreover when trying to set "ADVANCED EVENT-> any sub-function requested (i.e. Intrusion, line trespassing etc) was denied with the message " PARAMETER ERROR".
Tried to upgrade firmware with the latest ver. 5.6.0_190507 but with...

Hello,
I have problem with my app on android Hikconnect. After updating, the application lost the encryption key. On the second phone, everything is successful and works. How can I enter the encryption key? I uninstalled the application, cleaned the cache, etc. I will add that I connect to the NVR via the IP address.

I have a Hikvision Darkfighter DS-2DF82231-AEL on the my house which occasionally gets stuck and I have to manually put it back to the preset position I had the camera fitted by a profesional company I have some knowledge of how to set up camera but it is limited and was wondering if there is an easy fix I can do myself thank you

First time poster so I might not get this correct ,I’m having connection issues with mobile app on phone and iPad it runs for 2 seconds then freezes I get this message (network unstable connecting again )
nvr model is DS-7604-N1-K1-4P firmware is V3.4.103 BUILD 1811226 it saying no new version available
iphone 8 is running iOS 13.4.1
ipad is the same
I can’t get camera model as it’s all locked and I’m waiting on someone to get a key

We purchased the Hikvision Q1 PT Camera Model # DS-2CV2Q21FD-IW for one of our clients. The issue we are facing is to joining the WLAN camera with the client Wifi Acces Point (TPLINK EAP 225).

There are two SSID enabled at the client-side (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and both have the same SSID name and password like HOMEWIFI.

Now, the issue is when we try to connect the wireless camera through IVMS software by putting WIFI SSID and Password, it is not going through to the internet either not getting...

Hello,
I have two NVRs one from Super I series (DS-96128NI-I16) and one from I series (DS-9664NI-I8),
according to NVR(128ch User manual) there is a capture schedule for taking picture for time lapse or events like face detection

but as you could see below there is no menu for this configuration

but in my 64ch NVR there is tab for configuring this feature...

Hi, all, i am sorry to bother you guys but i was wondering if you could help with a question. I have Hikvision 7608NI-I2-8P Nvr along with a couple of 2385''s and 2355's, I am interested in having snapshots taken of evens and being stored on the NVR like i could do with my Dahua when i had it. I have noticed on the cams it will take full-res photos but on the NVR will only take relatively low res pics, do you if there is a workaround for this?

Hi I have a 7608mi-i2 nvr with 2tb hdd installed, I also have readynas 104 with 4x6tb hdds,

on the nvr is option of net hdd, i created a share on the nas, with 2tb (i think) and the nvr finds it but it wont do anything with it it just beeps and displays offline??

can this work? have i got a setting wrong i cant seem to find any info?

any help greatly appreciated

Hi all,

I've had my Hikvision system up and running for a while now however recently I've had a few strange issues.
First is a strange banding on the screen I've attached a few pictures. It seems to happen on 2 of the cameras and they move around.

Second is one of my cameras randomly keeps dropping off, restarting hasn't helped, I've played around unplugging etc and then it will appear for a while before going again. Any ideas what might be causing?

I want my system to store and record events 24/7, but i only want to be email alerted to events that occurred during a certain time period (00:00 - 06:00 for example)

Is there a way to limit email alerts to a specific time period without altering the arming schedule ?
